I'm only really familiar with Ozzy's first three or four albums. As for the successive albums, I'm only familiar with the hits.

I was massively into Black Sabbath. I agree with those who say "Never Say Die" was the weakest of the lot.

(Side note: During the Dio era, I was again familiar with the first two, before he went solo. On the subject of Dio's Sabbath, I consider "Heaven and Hell" to be one of the best metal, and indeed one of the best rock albums ever.)

When I was in high school, I was lying in bed at night, listening to Rock 106 in Nashville. I was unaware of the problems Ozzy had which led to his dismissal from Sabbath.

Through my headphones, an unknown song came blasting out. Hearing Ozzy's voice, I thought Black Sabbath had a new album. "Crazy Train" was blowing my mind.

A couple of days later, I realized this was Ozzy with a solo album.

And who was this awesome guitarist?
